Now that the first boxes are on store shelves I just wanted to post some answers to questions we have been receiving.Product should be showing up at Targets and Walmarts very soon. Sometimes it takes a little longer for the cards to hit the shelves in the bigger retailers. The retail boxes will also be for sale at the Topps.com store soon as well. They are just waiting to get their shipment from our warehouse.Bloodlines and Ultimate Gear Auto Relic cards are limited to 25 per subject regardless of ink color. Red ink autos are no more rare than blue ink autos for these two inserts. The difference in ink colors was strictly based on in-house inventory.Another special unannounced auto card can now be revealed. While signing at the UFC gym for the TUF 10 cards Kimbo Slice signed a few cards with his birth name (Kevin Ferguson). These cards are the rarest in the bunch.
Please continue to post your questions, comments, and suggestions below. Tell us what you liked, what you didn't like, and what you think is missing. We are busy planning the next UFC release now and are always looking for ways to improve it.
i don't like false release dates and online store dates, ufc undisputed inserts(look cheesy), same pics for auto's and base cards, no instant win cards in this batch.
ReplyDeletei do like, checklists not in every pack, new designs, new ring girl cards, still a reasonable amount of auto's and mat cards.
i think it would be cool if topps would do variants of certain fighters. just like they do with there other sports cards.
ReplyDeletealso a insert set . maybe 10 or 15 cards using a topps design from past years, like 1968 1969 1972 topps baseball designs would work well
i would also really like autos from the head trainers .
The new cards look great. I really like the new mat relic cards!! However the undisputed cards that are a pic of the video game version of the fighter are super cheesy. It looks like other people feel the same way. They dont seem to be selling on any of the auction sites. That is a good idea to have head trainers get some auto cards like Greg Jackson in the next set.
ReplyDeletedef a good idea for head trainers, mark, greg, gsp's trainer, maybe cards featuring camps? i don't wanna say wec cards but maybe just the champions like mike brown. i thought the poster cards were gonna suck, but they actually look ok.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why the SRP of the hobby and retail packs are roughly the same but the hobby comes with 2 autos AND 2 relic and the retail only comes with 1 total. Seems better to pay the already way jacked-up hobby prices but still get more value. Retail should be $1 or $2 max per pack.
ReplyDeleteTo bigbubbano23: actually there aren't any new ring girls this time around. Logan Stanton and Edith Labelle, who were in the sellsheet as having auto and base cards are no longer shown in the final checklist. Granted Edith no longer works for the UFC, but I would have really liked a Logan Stanton card.
ReplyDeleteThe only ring girls are Arianny Celeste and former-ring girl Rachelle Leah, who were both already in Round 1. So i give a thumbs down for that. Also missing from the sellsheet are some fighter autos from Matt Hughes amongst others.
Anyone see these in retail stores yet?
ReplyDeleteNope. Still haven't found them in retail stores.
ReplyDeleteSoon maybe?
They are on the topps online store!!
ReplyDeleteI bought some retail... appears to be a copper version of the base /88... I pulled two of them...
ReplyDeletewill the topps store be getting more retail boxes?
ReplyDeleteFoun em at target today!
ReplyDelete4.99 a pack though..I though retail was gonna be cheaper then that..
Still picked one up though, to hold me over until I get by hobby box
